چکیده
Background: Citrus sinensis L., commonly called sweet orange, fruit waste (peel, seed, and pulp) oils, are used as natural preservatives due to their broad spectrum of biological activities, including antimicrobial antioxidant effects. Objective: The aim this study was investigate the physicochemical properties, activities orange peel pulp oils extracted using solvent extraction method. Methods: oil done in Soxhlet apparatus petroleum ether a solvent. Then, properties extracts were assessed based on determination yield, acid value, free fatty acid, peroxide value. activity extract evaluated 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), hydrogen radical scavenging well ascorbic content. Results: results indicated that significantly higher with respect (47.94%) DPPH value 85.20% recorded for pulp/juice oil. Stronger antibacterial maximum zone inhibition (10.67mm), minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 0.25µg/ml, bactericidal (MBC) 0.25µg/ml against Staphylococcus aureus . antifungal (9.67mm), MIC (0.25µg/ml), fungicidal (MFC) 0.50µg/ml also observed Aspergillus versicolor Conclusion: C. found demonstrate stronger both potentials.

Characterization of aroma active compounds in fruit juice and peel oil of Jinchen sweet orange fruit (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) by GC-MS and GC-O.
Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O) were used to determine the aromatic composition and aroma active compounds of fruit juice and peel oil of Jinchen sweet orange fruit. Totals of 49 and 32 compounds were identified in fruit juice and peel oil, respectively. GC-O was performed to study the aromatic profile of Jinchen fruit juice and peel oil. ...
متن کاملTranscriptome analysis of a spontaneous mutant in sweet orange [Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck] during fruit development
Bud mutations often arise in citrus. The selection of mutants is one of the most important breeding channels in citrus. However, the molecular basis of bud mutation has rarely been studied. To identify differentially expressed genes in a spontaneous sweet orange [C. sinensis (L.) Osbeck] bud mutation which causes lycopene accumulation, low citric acid, and high sucrose in fruit, suppression sub...
متن کاملCollection and Chemical Composition of Phloem Sap from Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck (Sweet Orange)
Through utilizing the nutrient-rich phloem sap, sap feeding insects such as psyllids, leafhoppers, and aphids can transmit many phloem-restricted pathogens. On the other hand, multiplication of phloem-limited, uncultivated bacteria such as Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas) inside the phloem of citrus indicates that the sap contains all the essential nutrients needed for the pathogen grow...
متن کاملDevelopment and characterization of polymorphic microsatellite markers for the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck)
The aims of this study were to develop simple sequence repeat markers (SSRs or microsatellite markers) in citrus and to evaluate the efficiency of these markers for characterization of sweet orange. We developed SSRs from a genomic library of ‘Pêra IAC’ sweet orange enriched for AG/TC, GT/CA, TCA/AGT and AAC/TTG sequence repeats. We selected 279 sequences from which 171 primer pairs were design...
متن کاملEffect of Putresine and Methyl Jasmonate on Antioxidant Responses in Peel and Pulp of Orange (Citrus sinensis L. var. Valencia) Fruit
This experiment was carried out to determine the effects of putrescine and methyl jasmonate on lipid peroxidation and altering the peroxide hydrogen of peel and pulp of Valencia orange fruit. Orange fruits were treated with 0 (control), 2.5 and 5 mM putrescine, and 0 (control), 10 and 20 µM methyl jasmonate, then stored at 5±1 °C, 85-90% relative humidity for four months. Oranges treated with 5...
